Each kind of mark has its own underline so you can tell them apart without relying on color.

• Blue, dotted: reasoning and evidence. Claims with no anchor, vague abstractions, unexplained superlatives.
• Coral, wavy: writing quality. Repeated transitions, repeated sentences, uniform rhythm, weak paragraph openers, hedging.
• Amber, dashed: style often seen in machine-written text, such as stock openers and stacked intensifiers. A pattern, not proof of anything.
• Teal, solid: optional style notes and your own style guide. Off until you turn them on.
• Purple, double: the optional rhetoric check for name-calling. Quoted words are skipped.

Pick Practice on any mark. You rewrite the passage in your own words, then the tool checks whether that pattern is gone. Guided shows the explanation and every hint. Coached gives hints one step at a time. Independent holds the hints until you have checked once. Assessment gives nothing until you check, and says its result is an estimate. The tool never supplies replacement text, and it cannot judge whether your rewrite means what you intend.

Open and save plain text or Markdown. Word files are not supported in the browser version. Your draft and settings autosave in this browser only. Use Export backup to keep a copy, and New draft keeps the previous one so you can restore it. Nothing is ever deleted unless you press a clear button.

• It is a coach, not a grader. Some marks will be wrong. Each one says when it is a false alarm, and you can dismiss it or mark it intentional.
• Findings do not show who wrote a text.
• This is early software. Expect rough edges.
