Drag a numbered dot: left and right sets its frequency, up and down its gain. Mouse wheel over a dot sets its width. Double-click a dot to flatten it. Click a band's frequency under its slider to edit it exactly below. While playing, the teal shape behind the curve shows where the sound's energy is.

Fit to Length (radio time compression)
Makes the whole file, or the selection, exactly the length you type, without changing the pitch. Example: a 35 second read into a 30 second spot.

Breath Remover
Finds every breath in the selection (or the whole file) and turns them all down in one step. A breath is found by what it is: noise with no pitch, quieter than the words, a tenth of a second or longer. "S" sounds are left alone. Turning breaths down 12 to 18 dB sounds natural; silencing or cutting them all can make a read sound like it never takes air.

Extract vocals by removing instrumental frequencies. Works best with centered vocals in stereo recordings.

Higher sensitivity catches quieter clicks but may flag sharp drum or pick attacks. Works on the selection if you have one, otherwise the whole file. Found clicks show as red ticks on the waveform; fixed ones turn green. Pick one (list, Next/Prev, or click its mark) and press Fix This Click to repair just that one. After Find Clicks, Remove Clicks repairs every click still on the list.

Volume Pins (ducking and volume envelope)
Pins go on the track you are editing: -. Each pin turns that track down (ducking the music under a voice) or up (a boost) for a stretch. It ramps before the pin starts and back after it ends, so the change is complete when the voice comes in. Drag a pin's white ends on the waveform to move them, its thin ends to set the ramps, or its middle to move it. Nothing changes in the audio until Apply Pins.

Auto Analyzer & Enhance
Measures true loudness (LUFS), true peak, clipping and tonal balance across the whole file. Music mode only makes safe changes: an even volume change to your loudness target (never past -1 dBTP), repair of genuinely clipped peaks, and optional gentle tone and rumble fixes. No gating, no added compression.

Delivery Check (loudness for where it is going)
Measures the finished mix against a delivery target and says pass or fail, and by how much. It changes nothing.
Pitch (find and fix a voice that drifts)
Phrases
Each phrase's typical pitch compared with the reference, in semitones (st). Orange ones drift more than the tolerance. ▶ plays it; Fix shifts it back to the reference without changing its length.
Shift by hand
Length stays the same. 1 semitone is one piano key; small corrections (under 2) sound natural. If the Helper is running and Fit to Length's engine is set to Rubber Band, it is used here too and keeps the voice character better.
Pitch reading needs the voice by itself (before music is mixed in). For a mixed song, split out the vocals first in the Helper tab.
Spectrum analyzer (level by frequency)
Left: level in dB (a full-scale tone reads 0). Bottom: frequency, low to high. Point at the curve to read the frequency, the nearest musical note and its level. Hum shows as a narrow spike at 50 or 60 Hz; hiss as a raised right end; mud as a hump around 200 to 400 Hz.

The SoundStudio Helper is an optional program on your computer. Everything else in SoundStudio works without it. When it is running, the tools below light up. The first time, Chrome may ask to let this page reach apps on your device: choose Allow. Not installed yet? Download the Helper setup for Windows 10/11, unzip it and double-click install.cmd. Stem separation (Demucs)
Splits the active file into separate tracks, each added to the Files list. Fix a click in the vocal without touching the drums, or shorten a held note on the vocal only, then mix them back. About 1 to 1.5 minutes per minute of audio on this PC.
AI noise reduction
Works on the selection, or the whole file with no selection. Best on voice or a separated vocal stem. Hiss, hum, room noise and background chatter are removed; music under a voice may be treated as noise.
Lyrics and speech timing (Whisper)
Finds the words and when each line starts. Much more accurate on a separated vocal stem than on the full mix. Click a line to select it on the waveform.
Export and open any format (FFmpeg)
Saves the active file as FLAC, MP3 320, M4A or Opus. Also, files the browser cannot open (AIFF, WMA and others) are opened through the helper automatically.
Watch folder
Drop songs (for example Suno downloads) into the inbox folder. Each one gets a loudness-matched copy and click lists (CSV, open them with Import List in the Noise tab) in the output folder. The originals are never changed or moved.
