Idaho News for Windows, version 1.0.0

START
Extract the whole zip to a folder (do not run it from inside the zip viewer), open the IdahoNews folder and double-click IdahoNews.exe.
Windows SmartScreen may warn because the program is not code-signed. Click More info, then Run anyway.
If Windows blocks the extracted files, open PowerShell in the folder and run: Get-ChildItem -Recurse | Unblock-File

USE
Pick a state (Idaho is the default), a time window and the searches you want, then press the big search button.
Nothing runs until you press it. Ticking a box only chooses what the next search includes.
Stories link to their original publishers and open in your normal browser.

This app uses no AI and needs no key or account.

WHAT IT NEEDS
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, an internet connection, and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime (already on current Windows 10 and 11).
About 80 MB of disk space. Your saved lists and cache are kept in %LOCALAPPDATA%\IdahoNews.
The built-in news engine listens on 127.0.0.1 (your own computer) only.

REMOVE
Delete the program folder. To also remove your settings and cache, delete the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\IdahoNews yourself. In the AI app, use Settings to remove the saved key first.
